Concerns about academies, independent schools or post 16 institutions

Services and Support » Concerns or Complaints » Raising a Concern » Concerns about academies, independent schools or post 16 institutions

We don’t handle complaints against academies, independent schools, or post 16 institutions.  If you feel your child is not getting the right level of support at their educational placement or you feel you are not being fully involved or kept up to date with your child’s progress you should talk to your child’s class teacher or the school’s Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) to discuss any concerns.

If you are still not happy, you should follow the organisation’s complaints procedure. You’ll be able to find this their website or request it from them direct.

If you cannot resolve your complaint by contacting the nursery, school or college direct, you can contact us for further advice and next steps.
