Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)

The Careers IAG Team has an extensive history of working within Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND)- assisting the local authority with its statutory duty to provide information to young people & parents, helping to support them with important decision making around preparing for adulthood and the world of work. Its team of experienced careers advisors support young people to understand their post-16 options, explore their vocational interests and prepare for life beyond school. Offering impartial advice & guidance from Year-11 onwards, the team have considerable knowledge of opportunities & post-16 pathways available to young people. This includes:

• specialist SEND programmes
• 6th form studies
• mainstream college courses
• higher education
• training, study programs & apprenticeships
• social / leisure activities
