The Soundroom has existed in one form or another since 1985 and the days of the Dunston Music Collective.
It operates as a Voluntary Organisation supported by the Council working to provide Education in Music for youth and adults as well as hosting the twice-weekly music Cafe, Rehearsals, Recordings, and supporting other community projects with any musical or sound-related needs.
The Soundroom Community Music Project became a registered Charity in 2014 and has continued to work with the community in a variety of music-related activities and projects for people of all ages and abilities.
